Dr Katie Stembler

      Dr. Stembler grew up in Atlanta Georgia and graduated with honors from UC Santa Barbara with a BS in aquatic biology.  She earned her DVM from the University of Georgia.  Dr. Stembler moved to DC to enjoy life in the “big city” and to be near her sisters who live in the area.  She is particularly interested in soft tissue surgery and internal medicine and strives to practice “integrative medicine.” Dr. Stembler has completed a series of continuing education courses to become a veterinary acupuncturist and food therapist.  She believes that there is not one best medicine; and optimal clinical results are often achieved through the integration of the wisdom of multiple medical traditions.  In her free time she enjoys running, art, travel, and hanging out with her growing family of nieces and nephews.
