Relief Veterinarians

We are very pleased to say that all of our veterinarians have many years of experience and Dr Elliott knows all 4 veterinarians personally. They are kind, conscientious, and very skilled. When Dr Elliott is away from the clinic, your pets are in great hands.

Dr Jacqueline Schulman DVM
Dr Schulman and her husband live in Dupont Circle, and have 2 "dog-children", Tigger and Riley. They enjoy traveling, and are looking forward to building their dream home on a recently purchased piece of property in DC! Dr Schulman graduated from Cornell for her veterinary education, and completed an internship at the University of Pennsylvania afterward. She worked in Northern Virginia prior to moving to DC a few years ago, where she was medical director of Dupont Vet Clinic before deciding to do relief work. You can see Dr Jackie Schulman on Wednesdays and Saturdays here at Palisades Vet Clinic.

Tanya Sommerville DVM
Moonlighting from her usual career as an emergency veterinarian at Anne-Arundel Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care and referral hospital, Dr Sommerville works here to explore veterinary medicine in the daylight and to help fund her globe-trotting ways. Her husband is also a veterinarian, and they reside in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of DC.

Ann Stohlman DVM
Dr Stohlman grew up in this neighborhood in DC, and is loving being back here! You can track her down one or two Saturdays a month. She worked at Dupont Veterinary Clinic for several years prior to taking a position with the FDA. She shares her home with her daughter, Mickey (her cling-on Cavalier spaniel), and Jessie, a standard poodle with a tendency to eat any and all clothing he can swallow (he has several surgeries to prove it!).

Suzy R. Cooke VMD
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary School, Dr Cooke completed an internship at the University of Florida. Dr Cooke has a wide variety of veterinary careers under her belt. She is the head of the DC Academy, an organization which provides monthly continuing education seminars for local vets. She works as head veterinarian of the National Aquarium and the Baltimore Aquarium. Dr Cooke lives in the Dupont Circle area and has 2 cats and a large, bustling household of husband and 4 kids!
